About me

My name is Ger.

I work as a community manager since December 2006.

I have a bachelor degree in Computer Science and I am looking forward to master in Human-Technology Interaction.

My work, right now, is over a community of about 450 000 active users on a video sharing site.  Each one of them visits the site at average 2 times a day. During the day, at any given moment, we have online about 28-30 000 users and at the evening 50 000. The site’s monthly unique visitors are about 2.5 million. (imagine Youtube, but 100 times smaller)

My job consists of two parts:

1. To keep the community happy, healthy and to prevent abuse. Currently we are a team of five.

2. I gather ideas and user experience, evaluate them and narrow them in actual features (also come up with ideas myself and discuss them with the users and the team) I create the mockups and interactions (Balsamiq/Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Photoshop) and forward them to the design team. After the design is done I am working closely with the developers to ensure that both the interaction flow and design are implemented properly.

What I want to do next is mostly the same :D, but on larger scale and multilingual.

I learn things and I stumble upon strange and at first glance unexplainable sides of human nature. The need to share and the hope l could help someone are giving birth to this blog.
Be warned – I’ll sometimes use obscenities. But generally I am cute and cuddly person. :D
Enjoy.

A few of my favorite things. I am team Quora and Google+
